AyuVault does not store your PIN and cannot reset it for you remotely. If you forget it, the app offers on-device recovery — reset with biometrics or a recovery key (no data loss), or restore an encrypted backup; without any of these, your local data may not be recoverable. The app makes limited network requests for subscription checks and optional, anonymous, opt-in diagnostics — these are designed to exclude health records, documents, names, and biomarker values. Your encrypted backups are not tied to AyuVault servers. We have open-sourced the desktop restoration tool so your data remains recoverable on Windows, macOS, or Linux even if the mobile app is unavailable. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Your health records are stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. AyuVault does not require an account, and we do not receive or store your health records on a server as part of the core app.
Your encrypted backups remain yours. We have open-sourced the desktop restoration application so backups can be restored on Windows, macOS, and Linux even if the mobile app is unavailable. Your family's health records should never be held hostage by a service.
No. AyuVault is a personal health records organizer. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
AyuVault does not store your PIN and cannot reset it for you remotely. On your device, you can reset a forgotten PIN without losing data using biometric unlock or a recovery key created in the app, or restore an encrypted backup with that backup's PIN. Without any of these, your vault may not be recoverable — we recommend creating a recovery key and regular backups.
AyuVault makes limited network requests for subscription checks, and for optional anonymous diagnostics if you choose to enable them. These are designed to exclude health records, documents, names, and biomarker values. Core record-keeping features work fully offline.
Yes. AyuVault supports multiple profiles with photos, so each family member's records stay organized and separated within the same app.
OCR and extraction can be inaccurate. Every extracted value goes through a confidence-scored review queue so you can check it against the original document before saving — we don't guarantee OCR accuracy, which is why review is built into the flow.
Yes. AyuVault can create encrypted .avault backup files that you can restore later with the correct PIN. The desktop restoration tool is open source so users can verify how restore works.
