Welcome to AyuVault. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AyuVault mobile application and website. By installing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use AyuVault.

1. App Identity & Licensing

AyuVault is a software product developed and operated by a team of independent co-developers ("We", "Our", or "Us"). AyuVault provides you with a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the application on an individual device. Users are strongly encouraged to run only one active license per single device to maintain optimal app stability and local data integrity.

2. No Medical Advice Disclaimer

AyuVault is a software utility only. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The application is designed strictly as an encrypted storage and local tracking vault for your personal medical records. The extracted data from our local Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature should not replace professional medical evaluations. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding your health conditions.

3. User Responsibilities & On-Device Data

Absolute Physical Control: AyuVault operates as a decentralized, on-device utility. Your data is stored locally in an encrypted database on your personal hardware. Because we do not run centralized databases or server infrastructure for your medical logs, we have zero capability to access, recover, or modify your PIN, encryption keys, or records.

Data Backups: Handling and managing secure data backups are solely the responsibility of the end-user managing the device. We maintain no responsibility for data recovery.

Device Security Indemnity: We explicitly hold no liability or responsibility for any loss, damage, or corruption of data caused by issues related to device safety, compromised device security, physical theft, malware, spyware, ransomware, or OS crashes.

4. Performance & Hardware Dependencies

OCR Capabilities: The functionality, processing speed, and character recognition accuracy of the built-in document scanning tools are fully dependent on your individual device's underlying hardware capabilities, camera specifications, and processing power. We do not guarantee error-free extraction.

5. Premium Features & Subscriptions

Ecosystem Backups: Paid tiers may unlock the optional capability to generate ecosystem cloud backups. These files are processed directly through your standard account logins with Apple iCloud or Google Drive. We bear no liability or responsibility for the execution, retention, or safety of these platform-level backups. No health files ever pass through or store on AyuVault infrastructure.

Payment Processing: Our team utilizes RevenueCat to securely manage subscription licensing, transactions, and app-store billing data under their explicit operations. No patient identifiers, scanned medical files, or health tracking parameters are shared with RevenueCat from the AyuVault application.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the AyuVault development team shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software, including data corruption, hardware loss, or personal health emergencies. AyuVault is provided strictly "As-Is" and "As-Available."
